Contract Description:

The Coeur d’Alene Tribe’s Albeni Falls Project manages 7 properties covering 2,177 acres of potential native habits as mitigation for Albeni Falls Dam Construction and Inundation Losses. The Coeur d’Alene Tribe's goal for these properties is to maximize native fish and wildlife habitats for the benefit of Coeur d'Alene Tribal Members and the communities at large.

FY2023 marked the completion of the St. Joe Bank Stabilization Project, which was an ongoing since 2020.  The completion of that habitat protection project allows for the planning of additional habitat improvement projects for the years to come.  The focus for FY2024 is defining the wetland restoration potential for the Goose Haven Property.  At this point, it is unclear as to how much effort, and how many years, will be needed to achieve the potential for the wetlands within Goose Haven Property. Work Elements and Milestones for FY2024 were crafted to assess that wetland potential and define the effort needed to achieve that potential.

The capacity to address the habitat improvement needs expanded in FY2023 with the acquisition of additional equipment and tools. This equipment will allow the Coeur d’Alene Tribe to more aggressively address the habitat deficiencies within the Wildlife Mitigation properties. Projects such as the wetland improvements efforts in Goose Haven wetlands habitats will be more common in the future scopes of work.

The work Elements in this Statement of Work are ordered in general categories that correspond to Planning and Coordinating (Work Elements A through E), Construction and Implementation (Work Elements F through L), and Project Administration (M through O).
